Family Allowance

Hiya All

Would anyone know what happens to my family allowance for my eldest son who is staying here to finish his A levels?

Could my brother-in-law claim it as he's going to live with him?

Or will I be able to claim for him in Oz (assuming you can claim for 17yo) as we will still be supporting him?

Thanks folks

Sam xx

You could try phoning this number 08453021454, it`s the international liason dept - I had to phone them to stop my family allowance. I did try to call the child benefit office but they said because I was moving abroad I had to phone the above number. I did find find them very helpful though!:)

I would think so Sam as your brother in law will be acting as guardian. But you'll need to check
