Hi minlady,
Nah not a daft question really, (i live in NSW) and pleased i brought my tumble drier for when we get rain.
Perth weather is very similar to NSW but Perth tends to get a bit hotter in the summer so when the rain comes and the cooler weather you may need it....bring it with you

You definately need your dryer, especialy when it rains for 2 weeks at a time. Never thought that I would wish for that but I'm praying hard. It's also handy in the winter if you have a backyard like mine that only gets sun in the morning.

Not that I'm a dirty bird, but my condenser tumble dryer has of fluff in it. How clean do they have to be or would it get impounded?

I live in Perth and brought mine, used it the other day as we had a rain storm and the clothes hadn't quite dried on the line

Oh no, my tumble dryer is integrated but I wasn't too bothered thinking that there wouldn't be as much need for one in Oz!! After reading these posts though I now wish I could take mine too - I like fluffy, soft towels not brick, hard ones. Mmmmm.......
