Jimboomba

hiya can anyone help? we are seriously considering moving to Jimboomba. we only want to be aone car family as here in the UK we have two cars, uneccessary expenditure.
my question is can anyone tell us if there are jobs for support workers within walking distance, or public transport. this so i can walk or bus it to work and hubby can have the car.

Hiya im a support worker and live in Jimboomba ,to be honest you really need transport each especailly in that line of work.Jimboomba was a small 'back street' town up until 5 or 6 yeras ago the majority of the population are younger so work is pretty spread over Beaudesert alot of work seeming to be in Beenleigh which is only 10min in a car but a giant walk which would take a while. The majority of people moving to this area head for Flagstone Estate ,yes it has basic shops but you need to travel the few min to jimboomba cantre for the big weekly shop. They are building a big shopping centre ,medical centre, and updating rail and bus links but this is expected to be spread over the next few years and not be done immediately, apparantly Flagstone Estate alone will house 50,000 by the time it is completed ,think its about half way there .Hope this helps

Hiya no problem ill help as much as i can,,i have my level 2 and havnt needed to do anything in relation to exchanges, the only thing i have to get is a first aid course,as its compulsory here ,i applied for 3 jobs explaining i was a recent migrant and had NVQ2 ,Moving & Handling etc and got offered all 3 ,we seem in short supply here like the uk,i am currently working in the community as i dont like being in one place but am struggling getting enough clients with the company i am with ,there are a few who cover this area so when i need more hours i may have to look at swapping jobs.At the moment the job seems to be more relaxed ,in the uk i could do up to 15calls a night here i just look after 2 members of the same family for 2and1/2 hrs a day and theres less paperwork. If you need anymore help just ask
