Hello!
My hubby has just got a job in oz for the next two years, and i've said i won't go unless my beloved pooch comes too. I've had a quote from airpets, has any body used them before? or does anybody know any good companies that could export him?
any help/advice would be much appreciated!
Hi Minnie
Welcome to PIO, sorry we havent moved yet but when we do we are taking our 2 retrievers with us.
So far I've had quotes off Golden Arrow & Airsupply. Golden Arrow have a good reputation. I'm not sure about any of the others, I'm still researching them at the moment.
One other thing, are you aware that the quarentine stations are quite full at present and you need to book a few months in advance.
Good Luck with your move.

Hi Minnie and Sam
I used Golden Arrow for my beloved cocker spaniel and cant find a fault with them. They even drove up to Harrogate from Staffordshire (think it was Staff) They arranged to pick her up after they dropped off a dog at manchester airport so they didnt charge me too much. They were very helpful. I know someone else who used them and couldnt fault them too. Btw make sure you give them plenty of notice as the quarantine stations get booked up very quickly (definately not weeks). Also ask your vet if they get some sort of injection (cant remember what) but its in case you want to fly your pet back home within 6 months then they dont have to do any quarantine back in England. Only a precaution.
Good luck
Thankyou for the advice!,
Will be checking out golden arrow,
I'm still getting the hang of this site, i posted a reply some where but not sure where it went! so sorry if i'm repeating!,
Georgie, did you visit your spaniel while she was in quarantine? I don't know if i can go 30 days without seeing mine, but don't know if it will be too stressful for both of us!,
Are you all settled now?
Thankyou for the welcome sam!, I hope that your plans for your move are going well
Minnie
I only visited 3 times as Molly left 2 weeks before we arrived in Oz and then we lived 1 1/2 hour drive away so thats why we only went 3 times. However if you know in advance i would suggest getting somewhere to stay thats close to the station as they didnt take the dogs out in Perth it was up to the owners. They have an indoor and outdoor bit put its only big enough to stretch their legs not to have a run.
They are looked after though so dont worry too much as the time will soon go.
Georgie
Thankyou for all the recommendations!,
They have put my mind at ease a bit, and am glad nobody has posted anything negative!.
I am getting a quote from golden arrow, and have booked oscar in for his vacinations.
thanks again

we are hopefully going in july and are taking our 2 dogs. I asked for 2 quotes from 2 companies recommeded on this site one was Airpets and they quoted £5627.50 and the other was pets on the move who quoted £3260.00 what a difference!!!!
I actually spoke to the pets on the move lady who was lovely. Both quotes were for exactly the same thing. The Pets on move was door to door and i think the other was just to the quarantine station.
I was told that there are only 4 or 5 quarantine stations. Ours will go to sydney as we are up past Brisbane so a long way for us to visit. The Sydney station is the biggest and does not get booked so quickly but if you were to use Victoria area say, it is small and you would need to book.
