Hi,
We are going to oz next Feb for a 4 week 'reccie' (2 weeks Melbourne area, 2 weeks Brisbane area).
Current online prices for our flights - 2 adults and 2 children - are around £3,000.00 with Emirates and Singapore.
Would be interested to know what others have paid for return tickets.
Is it cheaper to book direct with airline online, or try the 'bucket shop' dealers (ebookers etc).
Gary
You may get them a little cheaper through an agent via internet or teletext. I got my husbands in Feb this year but only £30 cheaper than direct with Emirates.
We've just come back from Perth. Flights were with Emirates (excellent). Heathrow to Perth with 3 hr stop in Dubai. Cost £600 each return. Two adults only.
Booked with Dial-a-Flight.
Rachel

Thought that sounded really expensive at first but just had a check on Air NZ and Qantas and it's actually pretty good in comparison with theirs!! I know really know what my sister meant about waiting till there to have kids!

Hi - Try Flight Centre or Expedia (online). If you hunt around and find a good price Flight Centre have a price match guarantee whereby they will either match or better your price! When we were in UK we always used them and found them cheapest. Also look in the weekend papers as every so often the 'good' airlines like Singapore or Cathay have 'seat sales' and if you book by a certain date you can get a good price often with a stopover thrown in for very little extra!
Gary - If you do one thing today, check out www.traveljungle.co.uk knocked about 800 quid off our fares to Melbourne in March. Went with qantas £2282 return for 2 adults, 1 child, 1 infant. Have heard Emirates are much better to fly with though - we had a total 'mare with qantas over kids meals.
