EM&M will become famous soon enough
Hi Danny,

Neither of us have a skills trade, hubby is a Team Leader for a Travel Company (been there 17 yrs) and Im Hotel Manager (12 years now part time) but dont have a degree which I would need for 40 points. So we dont have the 40/50/60 point skill that u need to make up your 120 points if u know what I mean.

We thought that hubbys family in Brisbane could have helped us with company sponsorship through their company but it has drawn a dead end.

I think at the end of the day you both need to be comitted to going and not one more than the other. Dont forget if it doesnt work out then you can always come back. But to be honest anywhere in the UK v Sunshine Coast (esecially Colundra) is there any competion?

Good Luck

Em x

We would like to live in sunshine coast area I am 32 and am a qualified painter and decorator and my wife is 30 and a hairdresser with no children. Does any one live in this area ?
Any advice would be great thanks

I no what you mean a bout grafting its bloody hard here i like the idea of being mortage free over there it would certainly help to have a more relaxing life style get out of the rat race a bit.

Sometimes in life you have to grab a chance and run with it. Mark and I had never been to australia. we always knew that we wanted to `do something` with our life but was never sure what. I am a nurse and followed a nursing journal advert and applied for Oz.
That was May 2004. we landed here in feb 2005 and never looked back. I always said I want to be the woman that says " Im glad I did it" not " I wish I had done it"

If it dont work out, go home! It really is that easy.

Just to add............you WILL miss people and you will miss them dreadfully. That does ease in time as family will come and see you. A free holiday in the sun - they wont turn that down!

We miss family but do not miss UK as a place!
