Hi anyone told their youngsters their moving down under? I have twin daughters age 6 and was wondering if you knew of good websites that I could show them to make this situation a bit easier especially as we have got to find homes for their beloved dogs.
Hi,
We have a 4 year old and a 6 year old, we started drip feeding our girls a few months ago with little comments about things to do with oz, its funny coz when you start thinking about applying for your visa, everywhere you look there is a link to oz eg. high five (on the telly), the grand prix, 70 years of sydney harbour bridge (on the news today), Kylie, neighbours, When you start looking there is loads.
Eventually they actually started asking if they could go to Australia. Now they know that they might be going to live there, they are so excited, even though they have to leave their friends, family and their Hamster!!!! they like the idea of being able to wear skirts and strappy tops everyday, and being able to go to the beach every weekend.
Good luck,
Kim
dont forget the wiggles i love watching that with my kids lol it shows you different parts of oz and tells you about it!
our daughter lexie is 4 and we have been showing her different programmes and pictures she is very excited about it - i dont think that they really understand at that age and will soon get into the swing of things once they are there. doesnt stop you worrying though - ihave my moments but deep down i know we are doing it for the best.

Chelle ,, i can let you adopt a spider for a small fee !!!
regarding the kids ,,over here it seems to be wiggles,hi-five and for the boys spiderman and cars/carz (whateva its called),you can also link up with webcams on most beaches etc ,to give them an insight ,youll be surprised how quickly they adapt,,much quicker than us adults.
