Question Washing machines... again???

Hi
Just a thought......
I was thinking about buying a new front loader washing machine before we go ( as have heard there a bit pricey out there and my ones on its last legs) but just wondered as to wot brands are about out there in OZ???
Coz i dont really want to buy one here and find out they cant get parts for it or it cant be repaired out there!!!!!
Thanx for any info

Hi, Hope this website might help you decide on costs.
www.binglee.com.au.
You can check for brands of washing machines and compare prices with what it will cost you here and transporting it....also remember if it goes wrong within say the year/2 year warranty you have no come back.
Also I believe in certain areas of Aus they are giving you cash back if you buy a water efficient washer, because of the drought.
White goods rental is also possible in Aus.....so you could rent a machine to see if you like it before you decide to buy one.

Mines a good AEG machine but I'm leaving it here and selling it to the people buying our house.

Good Luck with the move.

Sharpfamily.

Thanks for the reply & tips, I did'nt even think about the warranty thing...... der!!!
So a new one it is, but to buy it out in Oz. I just went onto Google Oz aswell and checked some of the prices ..... got a bit of a shock about the price of fridge/freezers too. I was gonna leave mine here, but Ive changed my mind!!!!! I'll have to order a bigger container me thinks.

Jo
Ha ha ha .....Very funny!!!!
Im sure youve been talking to my OH, thats the sort of thing he would say, he already thinks Ive got it easy what with all these modern appliances!!!!!!
I can go down to the beach with my washing, after i've beaten all the rugs, polished my doorstep & cut the lawn, by hand, well with scissors!!! I will save loads of money then .......

Tesco were selling washing machines for around £120 a couple of weeks ago, just a thought,ok it aint the best of makes but for the price until you get settled in,can"t go wrong
(even if you have to use it once to confirm it works).......

Hiya most households here have 2 fridges, normally one in the kitchen and a drinks fridge outside, believe me you fill em quick !! with regards to washers i would get one here,, but i havnt a good track record with appliances so needed the warrantys to be viable, you also get a state goverment rebate on certain machines of a few hundred $,think its more front loaders that qualify,,hope this helps

We bought a Bosch front loader out here for about $950. Its top of the range and not really any different in price to UK. We did bring our Zannusi with us but it was dropped by the container company!! So we had to go and buy a new one!!
