My mrs " suzys" introduced me to the forum. and now I have a look every couple of days. I just did not understand how much hassle it was to get in to OZ nowadays till I started reading this forum . And do you know the unbelievable thing ? We have been Aussie citizens for over 15 years !!! So my mrs has put her foot down and tells me "this year we are going to Oz" (even if its only for a holiday ) Its funny but we didnt intend to stay in the uk when we came back . but you put down roots , we got a job kids went to school etc etc. But I think shes right. it is time to go back to Aussie ? time will tell "MO"

Well I just spent 15 minutes writing a reply , went to post it and the site must have timed out timed out ? so heres an abridged version haha
My gran lived in this area for 40 years, And I spent time here on my regular visits back from Oz so it made sense for us to live here too. But now things are changing. And not for the better. "hoodies" and aggresive people have caused everybody to "lock down" after dark. My wife feels intimidated about even going to the local shop. I know we dont have the monopoly on this type of behaviour and I am not naive to think it doesnt happen in Australia. (I read the Aussie papers online most days) Dont get me wrong I love Britain But I dont like the way its heading. ( and a lot of people can see this) I just want a better way of life for my family. My son has been to NZ twice and loved it (3 months each time ) My 2 daughters (15 and 17) are keen to go to Oz to. I dont ever intend cutting my ties with Britain I just dont want to live here HAHA Anything else you want to know ? haha best wishes "MO"
