Smile Brand new member, would like advice

hello everyone,
Can anyone help please, We've been toying with the idea of moving to australia, and finally decided to get the ball rolling, i scored enough points, quite fancy brisbane, but not really sure which of the suberbs to look at.
I work in telecomms there appears to be work in brisbane for me, but wondering if there is anyone who works in telecomms could advise. As you all appreciate its a minefield when you first start looking, Housing, Jobs, Schools etc etc.

Help us please
Andy & Jill

Hiya
cant help you on the work front but can tell you Brisbane is a good choice ,we have been here since November and are loving everything about aussie life. Most of the suburbs are facing property booms at the moment and there are so many lovely areas it really is hard to choose, think about what you want from the move ,how far you want to be commuting?,what sort of house you like ,smaller plots or acerage with room to move ?? ,do you need schools and childcare??? deciding what you want is a good way of eliminating areas and narrowing down your search ,a good book is the 'where to live'' guide on greater brisbane, this gives you a run down on 95% of suburbs,we found it really helpful , you should also look at ' our brisbane 'website as this too is a good insight into suburbs,,other than that fire away your queries on here ,someone will be able to help ,,
good luck

Once you do find a suburb ? have a look at www.realestate.com.au to see what prices are like ? Never ceases to amaze me LOL. "MO"
