Hi Colin and Louise, good question weve been here 5 years and are still saying where should we go. Tried Adelaiade wasn't keen, went up to Queensland wasn't sure, came to NSW stayed for 4 years now debating Perth or Queensland, did a for and against list for both think we have decided on QLD but that is this week, no really I think it will be but not sure if it will be Brisbane or Sunshine Coast we did like the Sunshine coast we looked there when we left Adelaide sounds silly but we were looking at jobs and houses in the paper in Caloundra when a bird **** on the paper whilst we were looking and we looked at each other and said maybe its a sign, mad I know think it was our state of mind at the time, and we came to NSW anyway looks like we are heading that way again. The biggest trouble I have is that all the coast is beautiful it's hard to decide I like it all.
7 weeks is plenty I think you just get a feel for a place, and the people.
It's a huge move ,I think friends are the most important thing about settling in.
My family think I am insane! mam keeps telling me to come home , aussie friends tell me it's one way to see Australia.
Still researching on the net ,at least the birds can't **** on here!
Don't worry you will be fine x

Hey Eccles-Cakes, that's supposed to be lucky... and to add a bit of truth to it, on the same day that my wife had a pidgeon crap on her, I found a tenner just lying on the floor! They do say where's there's muck there's money!
Hi Colin and Louise, I haven't decided yet where we are going, my wife narrowed it down to either Adelaide or Melbourne because of the climate (she doesn't want to be too hot and humid) plus she gets eaten by mozzies and APPARENTLY there is less in those areas. Then it's down to the availabilty of jobs, work I do can only be found in specific areas and I don't think Adelaide will have enough opportunity as Melbourne.
We're having a couple of weeks over in those 2 areas next year to help us decide if its for us... can't imagine what I'd do if she decides against it, cos I aint staying here... probly have to learn German....
hiya Louise
Just noticed you live in Dunstable, we live on the Houghton Hamlets (Houghton Regis)
We have got our visa just waiting to sell the house before we move to Coomera Springs (hopefully)
Hi congratulations on getting yr visa. Is it just you going to oz or are there other family members? We have just sold our house. as things get closer it all gets a little bit more scary and exciting! Let me know how you go.

hi louise
we are just starting out with the whole process. we went to the emigration show at sandown today and an agent there recons it will take about 9 to 12 months as hubby is a carpenter and they seem to be putting these through quicker at the moment. hoping to be out there by the end of next year.
have you made any decisions yet on where to live, when are you going? i wish i was a kid and my parents would just tell me where im going, although im married with two lovely kids i really dont like this grown up thing sometimes!!!!!!!!! keep in touch
