When to apply for Medicare??

You need to wait until you get here, will need passports and proof of visa and address to register.

Somebody said you have to wait until 10 working days after arriving in Oz before trying to register with Medicare. It is something to do with DIAC passing the news of your existence through to Medicare so that you can be accepted into the Medicare system.

Yes you are right, Gill, also think not 100% sure but if my memory serves me right you also need your TFN number.

It was me that said 10 working days which we found out after going the first week!! We only needed our passports
