Singletons in Oz
Hi,

I've read quite a few posts and couldn't help noticing that most people who are planning to emigrate seem to be couples or families. Are there any single people like myself out there taking the big leap? I've just sent my certificates for assessment so will stay in Blighty for at least another year, but it would be nice to hear from singles who are moving or have moved to Australia. For those of you who have done it, was it difficult to go on your own? Any regrets or are you having a blast?

Hi

I've just been granted my visa and now the reality of leaving the UK looms large, I would be lying if I didn't admit that it feels like a scary thought. But I keep focussing on the fact that in Australia, I can apply for my dream job, which I can't in the UK and that motivates me to make the move.

I guess it will be hard for a while, but I know a few people in Oz and at the end of the day, can always come back to the UK if things don't work out!

im single and moving to melbourne next year (i hope) i think there is quite a few making the big move on thier own.
when i look at my mates now most of them ive met through work so i cant see a problem making new ones when i get there........john........

Ali is a friend of mine and she is drop-dead gorgeous (as well as scarily brainy, so I won't even mention her professional skills!)

Andy Maccarudd is busily chatting up a lass called Rebecca if you look on the Socialising/Meet-ups section.

This is without all the prowling Australians who will also be after these two ladies, of course.....
