School shoes ??????????
My daughter is desperate for a new pair of school shoes even though i have only just bought a pair in the Easter half term.
We are flying to Perth on 2nd August and am wondering if primary school kids wear school shoes?
I dont want to buy a new pair if they dont, will just make her wear the ones she got till the end of term.
But if they do i will go buy her a new pair.
Can anyone help please

Does she break up for the summer Holidays in a couple of weeks?.... 
Im sure she would be able to make them last till then? Because it would be much better for her to get the same shoes that all the other girls are wearing in Aus...

HI Rachael, my daughter is at Primary school and wears black shoes, same as UK. However, I did buy new ones before we flew to OZ, school shoes are cheaper in UK and there is alot more choice. Had to buy shoes over here at Easter and daughter was not impressed, shoes are totally plain but you do have the choice of laces, buckle or velcro! By the way we are in Canberra, ACT so not sure about other states.

Mostly trainers and volleys (like plimsolls) out here in Wa so don't waste your money. Unless she will go to a private school then they wear black or brown school shoes, plain and ugly though!
Much more casual out here, the kids need to be comfy in the heat. Save your cash or buy a real cheap pair and throw them out before you come.

Do you know which school your daughter will be going to? At our primary school most of the students wear trainers.

If you can make them last until the end of term I would. At some schools children wear black runner, and others it's shoes - you don't want to buy some and then find the school you choose is a black runners school!
