Ofsted - Is there anything similiar?

Are there any independent school standards reporting authorities in Australia. Looking specifically at NSW and QLD.

Back home we can judge the performance of the schools there by league and performance tables.

I wonder if it is done by word of mouth here?

Don't have anything like or similar to OFSTED in SA. They don't have league tables here.

I know it is difficult to try and find details about schools when in the UK. It is just as difficult when you get here. Sadly the best thing is word of mouth or visiting the schools when you get here.
