Brisbane Universities/Fees

Hi All

My family & I are hopfully moving out to Brisbane after my eldest daughter has finished her A levels (Sept 2007). We've started the application process off & are awaiting for my TRA assessment to be sent back. My daughter is hoping to go to University in Brisbane/Queensland shortly after taking up residency. Can anyone help me by telling me if we would still have to pay overseas Uni fees, because of having to be in Oz for 2 years until being granted citizenship?

As anyone any recommenedations as to Uni's. in Queensland?

Regards

Mick

Hi All

After a little research of my own I can answer my own question.

Info obtained via The University of Queensland.

You are an International student if you are:

1) A Temporary Resident (visa status) of Australia.

2) A permanent Resident (visa status) of New Zealand.

3) A Resident or Citizen of any other country.

You are NOT an International student if you are:

1) An Australian Citizen

2) An Australian Permanent Resident (visa status), or

3) A New Zealand Citizen.

So there you go if anyone else is interested.

Regards

Mick.
