Hi SM,
IF I move, which to be honest I am going off the idea more and more, but may still go.
If I do move, I will be leaving one good part time job, which I love. The other one job I have I can take with me as it is internet based and I can work from anywhere in the world, so that won't really make a diff.
My friends and family I will miss of course but I do have freinds and family out in Aus, so maybe I could handle it a bit more at first because of that.
What I will really miss is the country, I spend a lot of time in the Lake district and North Yorkshire and I love the countryside so much.
One major thing that is putting me off from going is Australia's education system, I am not hearing good things about it, both from my friends out there and from family and also from an Aussie who now lives over here.

When we left the uk to live in perth we missed family and the relationships that my children had with their grandparents etc but when we left oz to come back to live in the uk we missed the lifestyle, weather etc but we feel that with the right attitude you can make life enjoyable here in the uk. I personally wouldn't worry about the educational system in oz because we had a very positive experience of schools there but some people do have some problems. I do feel it is down to the school rather than the educational system as a whole.

Family and friends are priceless for everything else theres master card.
You don't realise what you have until it's gone but I don't regret making the move as I have gained so much life experience that can't be bought.
