I became a Leeds united supporter in the the 60's and was lucky enough to watch what i think was the best ever British team side to play in Britain and just for a bit of fun put your best ever British players on your own team, we can have more than one choice, for the same team, i know there are, Liverpool, Man utd, Man city, Everton and other supporters on here, so it should be fun and

great team jim--i wuz a leeds fan in the 70s--as far as nurturing home grown talent--there 2 much money in fottball now at the highest level--they want instant success,and this means buying instant playeres--english football has gone back since the premiership started in 92--so far as home grown talent goes it will get much worse,as long as they keep paying footballers what market forces dictate

its not so much a sport now as an investment portfolio--sadly the troubled times at liverpool reflect this,and it will get worse in greedy england

Alright hoff,

most of them played in the eighties when i first started following them, i tried to think of a team that covered all positions from them days and threw in Fowler instead of Rush because he was a legend and Mcmanaman for a bit of flair down the wing.

Good side mate,gillespie rite back is he? rob jones was the best ive ever seen tbh,shame he had to retire young.

Yer could pick loads couldnt yer tbh? my fav side was the one with barnes beardsley and aldo,but im old enuf to remember keegan+toshack as well,QUALITY,anyone got a time machine?

But overall ive picked rush because he chased their defenders down from the 1st minute to last,ive HAD to put carra in for the nite in istanbul,he was destroyed but gave 110%.
