I used to find PIO such fun
While I waited to come to the sun
Useful advice
The people were nice
But now it is my turn to run

I’ve never been infracted, I’m glad
This decision for me is quite sad
I’ve had nothing useful to post
For 5 or 6 weeks at the most
But there’s no point in getting mad.

Racism, Muslims and Oz bashing
Have become altogether the fashion
On chewing the fat
Too many a spat
Seems like some members’ favourite passion.

I hope I’ve helpful at times
I’ve had my occasional whines
I’ve given advice where I could
Perhaps not as often as I should
So that’s it loons and quines. (Put it into Google!)

Social networking’s not really my thing
No Twitter, Facebook or Bing
My true friends are real
For some it’s a big deal
But remember that your yang also needs ying.

There are some real characters on here
Some I’d love to take out for a beer
An idiot or two
Who talk loads of poo
They’ll continue to do so, I fear.

Yes, it’s a public forum, I know
So pretty much anything can go
Some topics on here are banal
But using the user control panel
Let’s me block out users like so.

I’d like to thank all of the mods
For doing their difficult jobs
And Rob, the admin too
Who keeps it together like glue
They truly are our PIO “gods”

For those still playing the waiting game
I hope you can all remain sane
DIAC processing is slow
You may have a long way to go
But it’s worth it, most of us would claim.

I may return some day
It’s much too early to say
Give myself a new name
That seems to be the PIO game
But for now I’m up and away.
