Filling up the car

Just a thought ,has any one ever put the wrong fuel in there car ,can say i have not ,but have heard it has been done before .
Must only be house wifes i would think .

When I was exploration drilling in NSW we had a fleet of Toyota 4wds, 4 diesel and 1 petrol. The foreman thought it would be a great idea to have the diesel bowser on one side of the work site and the petrol bowser 200 yards away, to stop any confusion???? Twice he filled up the petrol 4wd with diesel...

Hubbie put diesel in my 4 star many years ago......Car was OK though after it had been emptied, refilled with the correct fuel and taken for a thrashing to burn off the diesel.

He's never lived it down, blames me, said I parked nearer to the diesel pump!!!

Yep last year in the UK I put some petrol in my diesel engined car,only a little though,about a litre,I filled it up with diesel and the car ran fine,I had it serviced the next day and the mechanic said no damage had been done but if it had been anymore than a litre or so then the fuel filter would have had to be replaced.

Our lass did it years ago diesel in the fiesta , best thing she only used to put a fiver in ,on this occasion filled the bloomin thing doh
