All joking aside if Australia can beat Germany and get through this group they would have done exceptionally well. It's not likely but who knows ?

I think if we 'don't lose' if you get my meaning, just get in there and do the best, and our goalie can deny any of their shots, then we'll have done okay by a non footballing nation's standards.

      Hi olly

i know about the time difference we watched man utd at 9.30pm kick off which was 12.30 in the uk anything later and its a no, no.

Also how sad is it that our great Queen Elizabeths birthday isn't celebrated with a bank holiday in the uk, but it is in OZ.

      jim 2-1 to Australia.

I'm not really sure we can call Australia a non footballing country anymore, a few years ago yes but not anymore, obviously not to the same extent as Europe, UK S.America etc but it's very popular now.

Yes I agree it is more popular, but what I mean was that in other nation's eyes we are not a football nation. It still has some way to go I think, especially here in Victoria, you know, where 'real' football is played

      Ahhhh, the Geeeerrrrmmmaaaannnnnsssss.

You will very rarely see a German in Australia as they reckon thier SAUSAGES (Bratwurst) are far better in their homeland.

Seriously though, Go Australia. Could be a chance of an upset as the Geeerrrrrmmmmmaaaaannnnnssss always take some time to warm up.

And besides that the Geeerrrrmmmmmaaaaannnnnssss gave me and my mates a term that we always used when we played football. 'Go and Mueller him' or 'He got Muellered'

      Cheers Tony
