why does jokes with aussies always have to do with the pom/oz thing?

make your wind ups much more personal with individuals, do it the british way and don't get into that boring aussie/pom thing, it's the same recycled crap over and over and over.......................

      i'll give you an example

when i played poker in the pub once (i was new to this), there was this (FAT) arrogant tosser who thought he could intimidate me because i was smaller than him and i was a new face and he didn't seem to like my accent

he kept speaking to me in a disrespectfull tone, and when he got his pizza he ordered (a big one), i asked the fat (edited) "is that your entree?"

he asked me if i was being a smartarse (with a serious look on his face)
i told him if he was big enough to dish it out he's big enough to eat it

thats how it's done - personal and humiliating

Instead of trying to use Pommy, just use the old adage, JAFA, only when Pommy is used with contempt and vitriol though, and those that use it truly deserve taking down a peg or two. 'JAFA' = Just Another F.....G Aussie.

Kind of loses its sting when uttered in Australia to people who have never heard of it

aussies are to easy to take the p**s out of i get quite board of it after a while--and tell them this--there humour is mostly single tracked, and predictable, and not worthy of my attention--- in reply to pom--i tell them it means (P)**s (O)ff (M)ate-- usually does the trick-
