cheers steve--by no way do i mean this thread to be sexist--i see it as a thread where men can discuss there role in an ever changing world---if any person is offended by this i apologise---lets hope we can have a frank, and open discussion on this subject---and to add a balance to the thread how do women feel about there role in an ever changing world regarding there relationships with the men in there lives

hi mr sh7tman no way--im a new member my name is mrs sh7tman no way--i find your thread a very interesting, and thought provoking--i some times worry about mr sh7tman is not the man i married all those years ago society today has turned him into a far to sensitive person, and i feel he has lost his roots as a man(this worrys me because years ago he wuz so decisive, and masterful but now all he seems to concern himself with is the condition of his hair, and nails)--i some times think im talking to myself when we discuss important issues.---awaiting your reply--a hopeful mrs sh7tman lolxx alana

I really wouldn't worry about your hubby Alana,he's probably just going through the male menopause, give him some time to himself and I'm sure he will be back to normal very soon.
Best wishes,Nigel.
BTW Have you finished stripping down that motorcycle engine yet?Alan is always complaining about how you spend more time playing with that than you do him.

I'm pretty cheesed off with the whole equality thing. My mum talks of the days when men looked after women, offered them seats on buses, walked on the outside of pavements to let a woman through, held doors open for them and the thought of hitting a woman (except obviously the brain dead domestic violence culprits) was completly foreign. You only have to watch CCTV footage of young women in city centres after leaving pubs and clubs, too drunk to stand up and mooning for God's sake. This used to be realms of men! I do worry that young women are turning into "archityple) men, and not in a good way. I'm just a bit fed up as I was given "the finger" this morning by a young woman who had tailgated me because I wouldn't break the speed limit and also because I had to carry a 23kg box into the house when a bloke delivered it. He said it wasn't his job to carry boxes into the house. He bloody watched me carry the damn thing in and wouldn't help. There is definately a place for equality (especially in the workplace), but I do think it's going too far. I think the fact that there is a fundamental difference between males and females (as any parent of mixed sex children will agree) should be celebrated and not treated as a negative. Sorry, rant over. Ducks and waits for feminist backlash!!

thankyou nigel(im mrs sh7tman for the purpose of this post) you could be right about the male menopause thing. he goes into his room on his computer at strange hours off the day,and night only to come out muttering on about some people ive never met on this great site he found some months ago(is this healthy behavior for a man in his 50s he now wants to buy a dog,and name it pio)---as for the motorcycle he hasn't touched it since he split one of his nails getting the piston out. thanks for you understanding of my situation your a friend indeed
