      children,and migration??

hello all , just a thought i was wondering how the children cope with the emigration process, most of the time we all yabber away about us and the family were leaving... so any thought's on how it is with there side of the adventure? do they adapt really well, do they like their schools , is it a better way of life for them??

I think alot depends on the age of the children ,mine were quite young when we came ,2 and 7,both of them adapted so easy and i can hand on heart say ,we worried about them more than they worried about themselves.I was surprised how quick my smallest forgot everyday things and people from the uk,i show her pics of our old house and people she say daily and she says' no mummy i dont remember' ,bless, maybe thats a good thing.
School was a little rocky for my son for the first 6 mths,he seemed to struggle going from topdog in the uk to bottom of the ladder here, thankfully the teachers have gone above and beyond and contact between me and them was fantasic,he now seems happy ,has loads of friends and is even pulling As in his scholl reports which is something hes never done.
Overall thy get on with things,i think alot has to do with our behaviour and reaction when we move here ,if we are down and depressed they will be ,if you crack on with it and keep positive about your new life they seem to do darn well.Hope this helps a bit
