Thank you for all your comments. I have never been one for sitting down and writing things down but I thought that I would make an effort on here. I can ( as my long suffering PIO widower Mark will tell ya) spend copious amounts of time on here. Just thought that I`d put it to use!!!
You`re all right , I cant wait for Mum and Dad to be here, we are a close family...always have been!!! I want to show them that I have made a great life for myself and Mark here. We are so settled and happy!

And as my mum says....Oz has changed me! I now have a dog AND I cook!!!!

What a brilliant thread Joanne. WE had been to Australia before for a holiday and Joanne and Mark never wanted to come with us. So their approach on never being there so having no pre-conceptions is great.

thats a lovely post, its good for people like us who are also setting on the journey to a place we ahve never been to before.

I know we don't see eye to eye on lots of things but you have a great philosophy of life and i'm sure no matter where you put down roots flowers would always grow.
My Dad past away last year and I never got to say good bye it is so hard being so far away but I alawys made sure I told him that I loved him before I hung up.
I would wish you luck but from your attitude I know you make your own! so I will wish you all the best
