Good Day fellow Poms

Just to let you all know I'm not really a cranky pom just adapting to this new life in Brisbane as you all been through this. Just feeling alone in this strange place i'm calling home for good. I guess I miss alot of things i took for granted back home but knows I'm here for the right reason and knows things will sort them selfs out like they usally do.

What is it that is particularly bothering you? IS it just being here? Being away from family???

Are you here alone or with family? What do you do and which part of Brissie are you in?

Im up at North Lakes the only thing i really miss is working and people contact as working in London I had heaps of that. Im not really bothered about missing my family just alot of people have a lot of faith in me here and i never had that back home so i dont want to be a failure just wanting to do the right thing for my finace and her son I guess im doing what is nature and want to be the provider. Even through i know thing take time i guess paitence has not been my strongest point.

Welcome to the crazy world of emigration! It mixes your emotions and turns you into a wreck!! LOL! LOL!

Things are very different here in Brissie. Hubby and I are over in Sinnamon Park in the western suburbs. The pace of life is dramatically slower compared to London - we used to live in Ilford so used to go into the city all the time!

I think in regards to work there seems to be a lot more support structures in palce. Certainly in my job anyway and OH says the same.

Living here with "the laid back attitude" you will need more patience!! LOL!

Hope things settle for you! Hows your fiance and her son handling the move?

We know you're not really cranky. A lot of people on here have been through that "What on earth am I doing here?" feeling. I certainly have more than once.

My inlaws who live 5 mins walk from me have been great support when they found out i was aload to come to oz they where great(think because im coming to take there daughter off there hands LMAO) my finace and her son where counting down to when i landed in Brisbane and both been very supportive but like a true guy sill thinks he should do everything and produce miracles. I just got home from picking her son up Making him walk home ws the hardest task every whringing all the way home lol thank god i dont whringe like that lol
