Yep- we were advised 12 weeks for sea mail. Niece's birthday isn't until mid-june though and parcels went beginning of March so we still had a couple of extra weeks to play with.

Ella made her nana a necklace from bottle tops and paper flowers wsa 75g but due to the bottle tops being wide had to go as a parcel and cost $10.30!

We got parcels surface mail from UK for Xmas posted 7th Nov arrived Lat week in February and one just hasnt come at all

Whenever we send flowers we look up a local florist on Yell.com, ring them and explain that we're in oz and need a special effort as we won't get to see the flowers. We also tell them that if they do a good job we'll use them every time.........it's better value than either Flying Flowers or Interflora.

Has anyone ever used Voucher Express - next day gift vouchers, gift certificates to friends, family in England and UK.
We use them all the time. They have all the major high st brands. You can mix vouchers from more than one retailer and delivery , including a gift card with any words you want are included for just 2.50 uk for up to 100.00 pounds or 5.00 for any amount over that.

It beats paying postage rates from here.

Have been finding out just how expensive it is to post back to the UK in the last coupl eof weeks-spent $60 sending 3 parcels today! Sent one sea mail-advised it takes 2 weeks-3 months. After doing a heck of alot of ebaying in the UK to worldwide id say OZ postal prices are probably double that of royal mail. I do find they see to get back to the UK quicker than they get here though.
