Just wondered if any of you have been watching Bondi Rescue and Surf Patrol. It is fantastic and shows what a great job the lifeguards do, as well as being really entertaining.
These people risk their lives every day to save people who often don't use any common sense at all. It has certainly given me a whole new perspective on what goes on at the beach !!!!!!
Its such a hardship to watch all those toned young men........ still all inthe name of research for Oz!

My lot love all Australian reality type programs, especially Nothing To Declare (Sydney Airport customs). The youngest can't understand why so many people lie about the food they've got in their cases!
We've never been to Bondi but it's somewhere we're planning on visiting, if nothing else so we can say we've been. Won't ever be swimming there as I prefer my beaches a little quieter.

Fiona (32) and Hope (22) hoping to be in the sunny Hunter Valley with Jonathon (12), Eloise (10) and Isabelle (7) by the end of 2010.
we have also been watching - think it educates the kids of the dangers of the sea as well. I also witnesed my own rescue of Mermaid beach a few months back! Girl caught in the rip, hunky lifeguard jumped on his board to rescue her!!

Attitude is a small thing that makes a big difference
I have, I think its a great show. I try to watch whenever I can, they are a great bunch of guys & gals. the relationship they have between each other is great, especially the when times are bad. It's just as they described, its the same camaraderie as if you were in a football team. It relates to me cause it was the same when I used to play American football many moons ago.
Also is it just me but since wanting to move to OZ I've been buying Aussie wine, fosters, castlemaine xxxx. We've watched crocodile Dundee three times, both 1&2.
Ha! Its funny you say that, because we recorded about 8 episodes of it this week and sat down and watched them till midnight last night!
I love it! Everytime they say "back packers rip" i'm in stitches, i think its just so funny!!!! Its definately taught me the importance of being a strong swimmer, i can't believe people go in when they can't swim! Its also shown me the kind of pom i definately don't want to be!!!
I've been enjoying the sun here in the UK the last week or so and have been out paddling my board up and down the beach here in brighton, just a shame theres no waves!!! I can't wait to move to wollongong! (although the lifeguards aren't as attractive as Bondi's!!)
