Sad to say it but unfortunately too true for comfort! Don't mind the people who come here and work hard for a living (as we will have to when we get to Oz - we aren't expecting to get handed anything on a plate!) but the ones who sponge off our welfare state and NHS - goddam bludgers the lot of them and it wouldn't be tolerated in any other country!
When we were driving back from France last year after a holiday there were hundreds of Eastern Europeans by the side of the road just waiting to jump on lorries to get here - and they weren't even trying to hide (except when the solitary gendarmes car drove past when they all disappeared into the bushes)!

That photo reminds me of something I saw the other day. There were four chaps stood looking down a hole in the road at another chap hammering away with a sledge hammer. They looked so engrossed, that even the passers by started trying to peer down the hole to see what was so interesting.

I have just read this thread, for no other reason than, I saw the first post when it was posted and just clicked on and read the last few..Thought I better trawl thru it.. I am truly sorry that you as a moderator see this 'as just a bunch of peeps having their say'.
As a person directly involved with the Anti-Discrimination Board I can assure you that this isnot appreciated by the people to whom it was directed. It has caused a lot of distress to those who are hard-working assets to this country, and to those refugee's who have been through the kind of trauma that we are lucky to have no experience of.
Further, can I remind you that our tracking of this so-called 'poem' has verified it's strongly racist base. It was instigated to actually encourage racism;- that was boasted about! And as you can see from the post following mine it has done just that.
Racism is a global scourge. I see it as entirely inappropriate NOT to criticize those who continue to peddle this material so those who are unaffected by it can have a laugh at others expense.
I would also add that 'Bluey's' comment regarding Mr Jones fails to mention the racial vilification problem Mr Jones faced two years ago.
Australia above all else, wants and needs its multi-cultural population to coexist as reasonably as is possible. I would expect Pomsinoz to want the same.
Your diagnosis of the 'poem' is to effectively dismiss it as harmless, by mentioning people justhaving their say. I am saddened that a moderator of ANY forum could be so dismissive of this type of invective.
I tried to be more informal in my first approach. I suspect it was less my response style, and more the disagreement with something you clearly see as acceptable, that caused your comment.
