DS got home tnight after driving 20 od miles to work and 20 odd miles back from work down the M27 and a long country road with a flat tyre
in his defence (not that there is much) he is quite a new driver and it was a grotty day, the sort of day when you run to the car and get going
Hubby has just shown him how to use the tyre thingy at the garage
Hubby reckons that he walks around his car every day so he would have noticed
I say what a pile of poo - if the off side front tyre was flat on my car I would not notice until I started driving - I would notice then
what do ya think?
would you notice if one of your tyres was flat?

Well I have to say in his defence, when I was a new driver I drove some considerable distance with a flat tyre, so much so it damaged the wheel rim and the whole wheel had to be replaced!
My dad wasn't best pleased, brand new car and all that.........
I would notice now I think, cos the steering wheel goes stiff to one side doesn't it?

My ladders would slide to 1 side if i had a flat tyre..........

I only look over my car now before driving off as we have nasty neighbours that have 3 times put a nail in the tyres. The first time I did not know I had a flat till a mile down the road and wondering what the noise was. But with my car you can drive with a flat tyre so no damage.

I once drove for a about 200m wondering why the steering was a bit odd. Found out i had a flat when I finally decided to stop and check why! Would know straight away if it happened again though. Dont check car before I leave, so would only notice a flat if it was staring me in the face before I got in the car.

I think I would notice if I had a flat. I am sure the steering gets heavier? My husband checks our car the minute he gets out of the van after work. He walks round it checking it. By the time he walks in the door I want to punch him! Anyway I like having a flat tyre, as the bloke down our local tyre place is lovely, in fact I drive car down their nearly every week saying I think I have got flat tyres! God help me if I did get one, I would not know what to do.
