      COLD!!!

So my heating won't turn on. I think its the pilot light thingy, its located in an outside cupboard that must have gigantic spiders resident, so I am a little reluctant to spend too much time fiddling around in there
I have discovered that a family size packet of chilli chips does not keep one warm, even when washed down by 20 cups of tea...

      Thank you.
Do you know if there is anything I can do? Or do I need to get a man out?

I would try and light it.

      Follow the instructions first.

If the pilot lights and then goes out, probably your thermocouple has failed.

there's usually a manual lighting sequence. If not, see if you can hear it clicking trying to ignite. If not, may need cleaning, new ignitor or new circuit boards depending on how new/modern it is.
