Some debate on that mate...but a fantastic pace to live.
Making you think outside of the box since 1999.

its partly down to the fact that youth services have been cut up and down the country, so youth centres have had to shut, therefor young people have no where to go to find a positive and safe place to be. all down to the crap conservative government you all voted in
young people have a right to be on the streets at anytime of day, as longs as they dont break the law, just as it is for everyone else
and local wine shops selling alcohol doesnt help
problem is these days everyone wants a quiet life

Excuses, excuses, excuses.
Most kids are well behaved and are respectful IMO.
It's the minority of ferrel street urchins that cause most of the ant social behaviour isues. Those who wouldnt use youth centres anyway as they are viewed by the scally as uncool and they are usually banned anyway for drinking, drugs, fighting and criminal damage etc. Youth clubs only prevent these scallies in the short term. They much prefer to stand in the rain and smash up the local bus stops than play pool or table tennis in the comfort and safety of a youth club. Its not cool to be good at something for these fools other than to wear a hoody, socks rolled up over the trackies, fag in mouth, stomping around showng how hard they are or trashing their own neighborhood and city centre. Muppets who dont need excuses made for them. Should be made to wear a yellow jump suit whilst doing a 40 hour week on community projects.
Nothing to do with governments and more to do with a lack of respect and perceived kudos at being a scally. They follow a path and are permitted to do so. Parents who dont know and who dont care where little Kevin is need a kick up the arse too........or a penalty to ensure that Kevin is home.
Most 16 year olds have a place to go after 9am.................its called home.
Too feckin right we want a quiet life.

Parents want children, parents need to look after them. Perhaps we should have to pass a licence test!

Its a two way street IMO. The old adage of 'respect thigh elders and peers' rings true. We cant watch them all the time but I think parents need to be blind not to see that Johny is a little sh*t and needs a kick up the arse.
Lived on a few military estates with plenty of kids of all ages out until 10am in the parks/youth clubs provided. Yes, the odd disagreement or underage drunken behaviour but never to the extent of what we see on our streets today. I believe the kids had self respect and self discipline instilled into them from parents who they believed had a great deal to lose if they where found to be anti social (a great calmer). I suppose they also had the correct type of peer pressure given that the Sargeant Majors son would be getting drunk with the CO's drivers daughters etc. They seemed to know the repercussions and act accordingly.......knew right from wrong and never went too far, certainly no vandalism, back chat or roaming the streets till gone midnight. I also dont give much credence to the single parent family and daddy not being around thing either. Many military kids dont see dady for 6 months at a time and the cope very well.

little do you know about what youth services do then, its actually the job i do, and the majority that use the centre are what you describe as scallies. Why dont you get your facts right, maybe pop down your local youth centre (unless its been closed). But i do agree about parenting, most dont have the skills to bring up children.
you'll find its one or two who are the leaders and the rest just follow
but im sure you were a perfect child and teenager and never did anything wrong!!

I gave a personal opinion based on what I see on a regular basis and in/around the youth clubs in my location but hey, I just live here.
I never mentioned youth services but I'm sure they do a great job and a great service to many communities.
No such thing as a perfect child or teenager and I was a scallie in my youth who did plenty wrong so can speak from the other side of the tracks.
