      Jubilee Concert and Tattoo

So, did we all watch it all? The Tattoo, Concert, St Pauls service and the flotilla on the Thames?

What did you all think of it all? I have to say, from my point of view............made me feel incredibly nostalgic for the UK and proud of our country. We do pomp and ceremony terribly well and we (as a country) did a great job in giving the Queen a great Jubilee weekend.

Made me proud to be English!!!

Apparently it didnt cost the taxpayer anything. It was all funded from private donations.

Us in Australia have to wait til next weekend for our extra public holiday.

Being an Aussie in the UK I thought it was very good. I think the royals have gained a lot more respect in the last few years.

Poor Phillip having to go to hospital though, was waiting for him to come up with a Jubilee gag.

Yes very impressive! Would not like to have been the Queen on the Thames though - long stand and cold. Don't rate the Pageant Master's likelihood of a Knighthood!

Very sad with regard to Prince Phillip. Just watched them all go into St Pauls and the Queen looked very lonely walking in without him.

I must say the whole thing does not really do a lot for me, we were out last night but the wife recorded the concert and we started watching it when we got back and i have to say that i thought it was awful, i watched Grace Jones, Annie Lennox , Kylie minouge and an African group and then turned if off as i thought it kind of made me cringe on top of the fact that the performances in my opinion were poor.

Watched most of it, and pleasantly surprised, however.

At the end when Charles was giving his speech I wanted one of those huge shepherds crooks to grab Cheryl Cole by the throat and drag her away.

All smiles and 'Look at me' whilst standing in shot next to the queen.

It is exactly what I said to my OH, but I did say maybe we should have delayed the move and managed to see the amazing parties that are going to happen in london..............on the other hand my 13 month old isnt interested at all!
