      I need to sit down!!!

Urrrrgggghhhhh I need a Moan!!! I have just called our lawyer to find out the cost of getting our docs notarised for TRA. They want to charge €10 per page. At the last count, we had just under 200 - €2,000!!! They have said the Notary might do a deal - I would want him to knock off at least 70% off that price. I am going to have to do some serious jiggery pokery to get the pages down.

      What did you Guys pay?

If you don't go after what you want, you'll never have it. If you don't ask, the answer is always no. If you don't step forward, you're always in the same place...
If you get a chance, take it, If it changes your life, let it. Nobody said it would be easy they just said it would be worth it...

Nothing, Candygirl. I used a Justice of the Peace. It would be cheaper to fly to Belfast or Scotland and have a JP do it for free!! Good luck........

On the TRA website where it says about getting the docs certified, it says you have to abide by the rules of the country that you reside in. In Spain this would mean going to the Notary and they want €10 per page. I was thinking it would be cheaper to fly back to the UK and ask someone at my old firm to do it (I used to work in a lawyer's office), but knowing my luck TRA would realise that it had been certified by someone in the UK? What do you think? We cannot afford to pay €2,000 for just getting docs certified.

We got ours done by our local solicitor for free but I gave him £20 as he has helped us over the years with house purchases and sales, wills etc. Not a chance would I pay that for them done there must be another way.someone on here will have the answer if you hang fire.

We had one who wanted to charge 20gbp per document, we shopped around and got one who did the lot for 50gbp. I don't envy them having to do it, what a boring job it must be.

It's an obscene amount of money. I just want them to stamp it not write it!!!

Aus accepted yours even though it was done in the UK but you were resident here?

If I cannot get it any cheaper, I shall be flying in Cattle Class on EasyTwit back to the UK to get them done (another excuse for a shop - well, I would have saved OH €2,000
