Are we too dependent on computers?
I have to say yes. Especially the Internet, I go cold turkey when we lose our connection. Sometimes I think our life heavily revolves around them. All our kids want to do is stay home at the weekend and go on FB or games. I think I need to bring a new rule in at home that weekends are free of computers, mobiles iPads etc, trouble is I would have to practise what I preach and that would be impossible.
Yesterday is history. Tomorrow is a mystery. Today is a gift. That's why it's called the present.- Unknown

13yr old daughter doesnt do Facebook or Twitter or games. Apart from the security risk she's to busy. We also don't do FB etc

When my kids were little I used to stand in the pantry with the door closed to eat chocolate - you could try that with an iPad.

Do you know what, i actually really like that idea. I think me and hubby should have a no phone (or at least no FB!) rule when we are all home together. But with college work and DS's school work a no computer rule is difficult.

Brisbane City Council is putting free wifi in some parks - so soon there is no escape :) ...thank god...
