Aussie slang Any Tips?
Can anyone tell me the Australian slang words I will hear the most - and their meaning please - I recently watched The Block in the UK and realised I don't understand about a third of what they are saying lol

You could try this link although someone might want to comment on how accurate it is (also assuming it's ok to post links - new to this so delete if not allowed)

'Starve the lizard' = cor blimey
'Fairdinkum'= are you being serious
'Calm ya farm' = settle down
'Thongs' = flip-flops
'Singlet'= vest
'Slacks'= trousers
'togs' = swimmers
'Stockings'= tights
'dag' = idiot (more a term of endearment, believe it or not! For the actual meaning google it, and then go figure. Lol )

Shorten everything and add an "ie" or "o" to the end of it. :-)

I think you mean "arvo" for afternoon? Not to be confused with "avro" which is (or was) a type of aircraft.
