This is the first time I've really ventured out of the 'migration' section and into 'Chewing the fat' .... so please be gentle with me
Working in the heat .... my OH is a welder and we are hoping to be in Perth by the end of the year. I'm concerned, and sure he is, on how he will be able to work in the heat. How do you cope?? Especially working in his field

Check out your health and safety regulations Chickx, see your rep, should be able to do something about that, generally the regs say abou 23C is the optimum temp and you can get the government work authority in to check it if it too high and close the area off (as I did in my office last year, when it was 50C inside) Both Melbourne and Adelaide have 40C plus temps today, so there will be a few uncomfortable areas today that's for sure.
