Trying every trick in the book to get to OZ.

Hi everyone

and a great big thankyou for all the super ideas and helpful thoughts and i am taking on board quite a number of them. When i started this thread the wife was having a huge wobble and was stressed over the Australia thing' i think we all know what this is, we all have a wobble and worry about the move. This has subsided a bit and i have had news that they are recruiting again in Queensland, around the Brisbane area and also in north queensland at a prison called Lotus glen, i think it is, so i am applying for them and hopefully i can get round the first aid certificate thing, i will offer to fly out and pass the course, but they will have to guarantee me a place, am i asking too much? I have 22 years experience, surely they should try and head hunt me a little bit? Am i being a bit dillusional? I made the pact with the wife that i would get a job prior to us emigrating so she can have a few months off setting up the house and everything, so fingers crossed that we will make it. G Whizz i thought for a moment we weren't ever gonna go, still might not make it, but i will keep trying until the visa runs out in November 2014, or that we freeze to death here in the uk before then. lol

Good luck Hoff,
The test is pretty easy mate. Just a 3 day course with St John's. They should offer you the job and let you take that once you're here, with a bit of luck.
