iPhone or not!?
Hi, bit of an irrelevant topic here!
I am going to go on a contract phone, because you may as well set fire to your money on Telstra prepay, was looking for reviews on the iPhone, rubbish or not?!! I have stuck to Nokia for years and love them, but fancied a go at the iPhone, but I'll be stuck with it for 2 years on a contract.
Any advice is appreciated!
Sally

Oh my god! If I could marry my Iphone I would!
It is f****g awsome (Sorry) but it really is!
I have everything on there, from dvds, to music to email, to diet diary to mapping, gps, etc etc it goes on and on!! The only negative I have come across is that the camera can send pictures by text only by email. Also the battery doesnt last ages if you are always on it like me!!
Hope this helps, as I wasnt really a Apple fan until I bough this! So glad I did!!

iPhone all the way. I've got one and it's my baby haha I love it. It's full Internet is the best I've seen and used.... I'm on PIO on my iPhone posting this message. I cannot recommend the iPhone more and would never go back to a "normal" phone, hope this helps.

Whilst there are many that rave about the iPhone I'm also aware that there are many who have had a lot of trouble with it reliability wise.
Apple are very good at capturing people imagination and getting them to rave about there stuff, but all too often when your scratch the surface I find that they are all too often lacking, reports of ease of use and reliability are often grossly inflated.
On the reliability front there are many reports of people having to return multiple faulty iPhones.
Personally speaking, whilst the iPhone does appear to have a lot of cool gadgets and features, I find that its things like its camera spec that let it down for me, I use my camera a LOT for work and in day to day life, and going back to a 2MP camera is just far too much of a backward step for me... maybe if they upped the camera to 5 or even 8MP then I would consider it, but until then I'm very happy with my SE C902, the iPhone has nothing that I want

I can tell you that yes there have been faulty iPhones but in comparison to the se c902 and the c905 it's a drop in the ocean. Let's face it how many times do we take photos with our phones and to be honest I would rather have a 2mb camera which is stable that takes supurb photos than an 8mb camera which is blurred. The iPhone is at least two years ahead off any other phone and my best advice is not to listen to those who make statements about tales they have heard rather than fact.

I'm also in the "should I, shouldn't I" phase. A couple of questions:
First off, how good would an iPhone be if, at home, I use a PC not a Mac...and don't like applications like iTunes and so on? For basic phone, SMS and mobile net access is it really any better than any "enhanced" phone, for example a Nokia E75?
Second, what is the actual word on iPhone reliability?
Third, is the technology really better/easier, or is it just a style thing?
...serious questions since the contract on my existing phone runs out soon and I'm actively looking.
Bob

Iphone.. just like the Ipod is running away with peoples imaginations... it is good looking and has many application that can be downloaded to apparently aid your daily life.
I personally (and I sell Mobile phones for a living) use a Blackberry 8900, holds shed loads of MP3's and takes a fantastic photo, satnav ect ect.
On a more relivant note the push email is the best I have ever used. Blackberry's compact and encrypt your data, my god Barack Obama cant be wrong...
Not sure if you can get them in Oz so this may be irrelivant... I would go Blackberry all the way.
