well, you should tell the difference satellite GPS is accurate to 10m and doesn't work too well indoors, cell proximity is only accurate to 1000m and works as badly indoors as it does outdoors

Not unless you are desperate for something to keep your hands warm!

Early reports of the 3Gs suggest that it has a tendency for the batteries to overheat, not sure to what extent but it wasn't all that long ago when Apple laptops had battery problems, and those were exploding

I have an iphone in the UK, with 02 on PAYG. Can I keep it on a PAYG package or will I need a contract when I move to Australia? Which mobile companies in Australia offer iphone packages?

I cannot possibly live without one now, its totally addictive!

you will need someone to unlock it before you get to use it in Australia as they are locked to O2 and wont be useable with any other network
