Hello or should I say 'how do'!!!! It sure is a small world. We are thinking of relocating to Brisbane, OH is a chef and we are looking at maybe going for state sponsorship. Could you tell us what Brisbane is like and where is the best places for settling, we have two little girls and would ideally like to be somewhere away from the city (commuting distance) and near good schools. We had originally thought of Perth but one of the members told us that Brisbane was great for finding Chef jobs.........and the city was really great.

Hi,
I am currently working in Sowerby Bridge near Todmorden although I live in Darlington - I am moving out to perth in the next few weeks - you are certainly not missing anything, weather is terrible and am working on the sewage works at copley so smell is not much better either!

Hi there, our girls are 4years and 5months old, we thought if we moved while they were still young it would be easier for them to adjust to a new life, it was the same for me moving back and forth between England and South Africa. We are hoping to use 1stContact, but as of yet havn't done masses of research on particular areas as we have to get the house finished first (what a nightmare). Our plan is to do house than sell it than we will be able to go at a minutes notice with cash in the bank.......just as long as Oz hasn't had enough of us Yorkshire Folk lol!!!!! So if the plan goes smoothly we will be applying for Visas at the end of the year/beggining of next year.

Hi All
We live in Luddendenfoot which is pretty close to Tod and the Lanc Border. My hubby is a Preston boy born and bred, but we try to make allowances for him! Only kidding! I work in Hebden Bridge, which is a lovely place and Tod seems to be on the up (lots of new shops and market facelift). Can't think of anywhere worse than Copley sewerage works to be located! Sorry, Mimo

We are heading for the Central Coast, NSW to start our new life in Oz. Our two little girls are 4 and 5, so similar ages to yours. Definitely the best time to move them, before they make too many lasting friendships etc... Got our visa's so just waiting to sell our house now... and hope to be in Oz by the end of the year at the very latest!
