Hello Joetrac
Have you been in Aus for 18 months? if so are you waiting to get your Citizenship before you go home?
Lisa hunny, big deep breaths...........and again.........good girl!!!
You have done nothing wrong in bringing yourself and your family here, your just letting the guilt overcome you because of everything thats going on with your mum!!
Try this link.......Telediscount: low cost international calls - from any UK-Phone
its what my mum uses and I think its about 1.5p per minute.
Take care, Lesleyx
Hi
Are you aware that you can buy a phonecard at any newsagents over here which will allow you to phone anywhere in the world for between 1cent and 5cents a minute. Typically a UK call costs 2cents a minute. You just dial a local number, enter a PIN when prompted and then the UK number you wish to phone. You use your normal house phone and nothing appears on your bill.
We often ring our family back in the UK when they ring us as it's much cheaper.
Hope this helps
hi can you tell me what the calling card is called sorry just have one loved up son desperte to make call to girl friend ah bless
As everyone else here has said - get your Mum on Skype!! She can already check emails so she knows what she is doing with a pc way more than most. And if she uses that you can both webcam each other at the same time. So you can see each other. And she can see the kids. The programme is free to download and use. I have set my parents up on it already and my Dad loves chatting with the kids on the weekend (and yeah we are only an hour up the road at the minute!!).
You Mum could use the refunded BT money to get a headset and or cam!
I wish your Mum and Nan all the best. What a mess - Thanks to BT.
Take care and don't let it get you down.
We are all plugging for you :)
*hugs*
Gill

Hoping to be in Oz - August 2008!!!
Check with Telstra they used to have what they called "Call home service" which enable somebody to call a UK number then enter another number and it rang your home phone and was billed to the Australian phone way cheaper than UK
Thanks for all the hugs and wishes, feel abit better now.
Hopefully Sam will settle down. I asked Holly tonight if she wanted to go to England for a holiday and she said no, I said what not even next year? She replied..no it's boring there, Nanny can come here, sound advice from a 5 year old I think!
