"Syd's Pies" - Loganholme, QLD

I can't remember who it was recommended I tried Syd's Pies (nr Brissie) in my quest to find Pot Noodles, but we went there today.. so thank you whoever it was!!!
Although you can see the shoppe close by from the motorway, it actually took us an HOUR to actually find the place, once off the motorway!! Argh!

But we blew $50 on a handful of noice Brit food in there and I felt like I had died and gawn to heaven! Pot Noodles at $6 a go isn't so good, though. Ohhhh... Mr YG and myself have been scoffing ourselves silly on Hula Hoops, Wotsits, Wine Gums, Jaffa Cakes... ever since.

And I'll tell you something for nothing.. if you're a fan of the humble Cornish Pasty, they do the best Cornish Pasty I have ever had in my life, either here or Blighty!!!!!!!
The meat is prime beef.. no fatty or gristly bits, and the taste is superb!
We told Syd himself how fantastic his pasties are..

If you live in the vicinity, go and get yourself a Cornish Pasty, I say!! (Well, not if you're a vegetarian, I guess.. but they do vege pies too!)

Jeez, I babble on, eh?

Hello Liz, sadly not.

They're open 7am - 4pm weekdays and 7am - 3pm Saturdays.

Think we'll be going up once a month or so just for those pasties though!

Really?? What time were you there? Think we were there from 13:15 to 14:15, or thereabouts. We saw the Bisto granules, in these lil brown boxes on that rack in the middle of the shop. I get mother to mail me Bisto over, cos it's cheaper, but only the beef one... Quarantine in Brisbane will confiscate the chicken one. lol
Crikey, I'm going to be dreaming of Syd's Cornish pasties tonight...LOL!!

I am not even going to attempt to give directions, Gail..partly because it's past my bedtime and I'm nodding off and can't think straight. Secondly, because I wouldn't have a clue how to get there myself again! I know you take Exit 31 off the M1 when headed northbound... then I am lost. Sorry.
