Car Insurance query

Hi all
we have just bought a car here in Oz and was hoping that someone could recommend a good insurance company which may take into account my husbands no claims bonus from the UK? Any help appreciated

We opened a bank account with the commonwealth bank before we came over here (to transfer money). When we arrived they gave us quotes for car and household insurance which turned out to be very competative... so we went with them. Not sure how the no claims thing works though... they didn't want to see any proof of it. I think they work differently over here - I believe you get a discount based on your years driving and they only load on that if you have had a prang - but that's only a guess.

Aami gets a good rap most of the time. We have ours with NRMA which is the NSW motoring organization - your local motoring organization probably also has insurance cover.

I originally went with suncorp because they are well known ,but the renewal this year was $200 more than last year so i have changed to ING

Hi,
AAMI will honour the no claims discount that was on your UK insurance certificate providing you are over 25.
