How long is quarentine?

Hi again,

could anyone tell me please how long quarentine is? we have two cats aged 11 years and have read in other threads taking them to OZ will cost us a packet. But it was our choice to have them so what ever the cost this will hve to be.
Is quarentine for 30 days only, that does not sound to bad if this is right.

thanks in advance for your help

regards

Glynn

Hi, yeah 30 days. If you're coming to Perth you'll need to book early as Byford quarentine station isn't particularly large for the area it serves. When we enquired in August 06 the first available space was mid December that year. We brought our 15 year old cat with us - she left the UK 2 days before we did and was fine.

Hi Tony

Yes the 30 days is for dogs as well.

I also brought my long haired german shepherd over with me as well.

He hasn't coped with the change in climate too well though. He is getting better but I had to totally clip him out.

It did take a bit of getting used to because he had the most beautiful coat but at the end of the day his comfort has to come first.

Tbh, most of the hairy dogs I've seen around here have their coats clipped out.

Regards

Debs x x
