Its definately worth a try,,if you are both(all) 100% behind it, and expect reality rather than fantasy it should work ,we ditto what Johatts says ,, just wish we had done it years ago !! good luck ,,you gotta try or you would never forgive yourself !!

my hubby does 2 jobs, i work 2 days a week - and not worth doing anymore as I pay extortionate nursery fees. We are just getting by and never see eachother, quality time - what is that? we don't have it and the kids hardly see their dad. We can't afford to do anything with our 3 kids even if the weather is good. Not even allowed to go swimming as our kids are 6,3 and 1! We dont want to do this for the rest of our lives. Our needs are simple - a house big enough for a room each for the kids, more time together and no more stress or debts, oh yeah and a nice roadworthy car for me and the kids! And of course the sun, sea and barbies!!!

We started applying in April 2004. We got on a plane on 7th feb 2005. I dont believe that our application was fastracked but the agency wanted to get me out by December 2004 on an emergency VISA so that I could start work. However leaving was going to be hard enough without coming out on my own for a few months!!! I opted out of that! On Jan 24th 2005 our visas arrived and we left 2 weeks after that. Said all our goodbyes and got on the plane.
Hope that helps. PM me or email me and we can talk more and privately if you want to!

For us:

FORS:
more time together, better weather, standard of life improved (living to work not working to live);

AGAINST:
No Marmite (proper UK MARMITE!) and thongs (flip flops) rubbed me toes in first month!

Thats just a few off the top of my head. Been here for 2 years
