Clarification of document certification

Hi
Please could someone clarify who exactly can certify documents for visa applications. When I had a Working Holiday visa my boss who is a head teacher did it no probs. Now its kind of the real thing for skilled sponsored visa subclass 138 does it have to be a solicitor or could my boss certify docs?
I did take my skills assessment docs to a solicitor which was pretty expensive.
Thanks :?
a confused dugong :?

As far as I can figure, it is anyone who can sign off a passport application. There is more info on this site about it - but I haven't quite figured out how to attach links onto a message yet. (and with my computer skills prob never will!)

Hi
We used a solicitor - ring around they charge different prices. We worked out all the copies we'd need for skills assessment, application etc., I got charged £20 for over 50 copies. I'm sure there's something on the application (or the dimia website), re: certifying documents saying who can do it.

Hi,if you go on the TRA website and look under FAQ's it tells you. We have used a teacher and ours are all fine, you can use policemen, doctors, dentists, majestrates, justices of peace, have a look for yourself.... but be aware that some of these(if you dont know them personally) will charge you.
Regards Kim

Yes a bank manager can cert your documents ,they must have there name, position how long they have been in job and branch stamp and date.

Mine were certified with a bank manager and my visa was granted no probs.
