Hello from Anita & Family in Melbourne

Hello to everyone on the site.

Well we've been her for 1 week now and what a week it has been. We have settled our 4 year old into 'kinder' and bought a car. Hubby has been applying for jobs left, right & centre and so far all is well.

Melbourne is a lovely place and the aussies are very friendly. I'm amazed by just how family orientated the place is.

We have looked round some houses both to rent & buy and we are thrilled by the amount of space you get for your money.

All in all a great decision to come here and we haven't looked back for a second despite missing family & friends.

Good luck to all those still waiting...it's worth all the hassle when you get here.

Hello Anita, Mike & Sophie from Rowville, it's good to hear that you are settling in.

I have lived around that area for over 30 years and it seems like only yesterday when Rowville was all cattle grazing country and orchards.

I guess by now you would have had a drive through the Dandenong Ranges and Yarra Glen which are some of my favourite parts of Australia.

Anyhow, just a quick hello and a good luck wish.
