Not a question about diesel cars, surely!

We have always driven diesel cars in the UK. It seems from looking at online car magazines that very few diesels are available in Oz. We'd like a small SUV (CRV / RAV4 etc or maybe a smallish people carrier) but they don't seem to be offered as diesel options. Any ideas or suggestions?

Cheers

Andy

auto cars

hi jo

i ordered a new car last yr and when it came it was automatic, i wasn't very happy and told my hubby to take it back & change it, which he couldnt do as it was the one i ordered!!
but after a few weeks you get used to it and its amazing how after driving for nearly 20yrs you forget to use gears when in a manual car - i thought there was something wrong with hubbys car as it was juddering like mad at an island, i was in 5th gear doing about 5mph!!

now though i love it, you can eat your mcdonalds really easily as you dont have to bother to change gear :D

Hiya hubby is a diesel mechanic and like you ive never had a petrol .They dont really have any diesel cars although Holden have just introduced the new Astra to Australia meaning you can have an astra, astra or astra!!! we bit the bullet and bought a petrol much to hubbys dismay ,maybe within 12mth more manufactors will bring them out here, they dont seem to bother as fuel is pretty cheap, theres always the 4wd !!
