How long to get Case Officer

Just wondered if anyone knew how long it is before we get a case officer?
We sent our application last week, will we get an acknowledgement that they have received it?
And does anyone know if their chosen skill is on the MODL list, how much priority do they give.......
Sorry to have so many questions, but i'm getting v.excited...

Take a look at www.austimeline.com. It gives you an idea of how long people are waiting...We sent our application off in July 06 and it was acknowledged 4 weeks later, we then had our Case Officer allocated on 24th Jan :)

Hi

My application was received on 6th February last year and I was assigned a case officer in mid July.

My visa came through at end of November.

We sent our Application off on Oct. 30th 2006 and received an acknowledgement on 23rd Jan (although it was dated 19th November!). The time line shows that currently it is around 5-6 months before we are likely to be requested to provide our Meds etc. but this is from the date in November.

hi , our application was recieved 22nd Aug , ack Oct , CO requested wage slips , meds police checks 3rd Jan ..................... still waiting , hopefully won't be long now .

HIYA RACHE76 WE APPLIED FOR OUR VISA IN NOVEMBER 2005 AND WE HAD CONFIRMATION OF RECEIVING THE VISA ON THE 8TH JANUARY THIS YEAR. IT SEEMS A LONG TIME BUT IS WELL WORTH THE WAIT

Hi, our application was lodged 21/11/06. We were contacted on 5/03/07 to provide medicals and police checks. After speaking to my agent it seems that there is no order to when you are called as he still has people waiting who lodged in aug 06.Good luck, it will happen.

Ours seems to have been really quick, heres our timeline:-

Application arrived at DIMA 18/01/07
Application Acknowledged 15/02/07
case officer and meds requested 15/03/07

Like other people have said a there is no particular order at all, friends of ours didnt get a case officer for 5 months, they couldnt believe we had got one so quick.

We are applying for a 136 visa and hubbie proffesion is on the MODL list

Hi we sent our application second week in feb but still not acknowleged who knows i honestly do think there is no order when you are called just keeping fingers crossed
